PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adhesive composition which is used in bonding composite materials and can easily remove the composite materials at normal temperatures when disused. SOLUTION: This aqueous adhesive composition removably bonds two materials, at least one of which is a porous material. The aqueous adhesive composition comprises (A) 100 pts. wt. (in terms of a solid content) of an aqueous emulsion resin containing fine spheres of an adhesive polymer obtained by the aqueous suspension polymerization of (a) 70-99.9 wt.% of an alkyl (meth)acrylate having a 4-12C alkyl group, (b) 0.1-10 wt.% of an a,b-unsaturated carboxylic acid, and (c) 0-29.9 wt.% of a vinyl compound other than the alkyl (meth)acrylate and the a,b-unsaturated carboxylic acid in the presence of a protective colloid of a polyvinyl alcohol incomplete saponified product, and (B) 100-1,000 pts. wt. organic pigment.
