PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coal gasification system which suppresses adhesion of slag into a thermal decomposition part while suppressing temperature decrease in the thermal decomposition part.SOLUTION: A coal gasification system 1 for producing at least hydrogen gas and carbon monoxide gas by gasifying coal comprises: a two-stage structured coal gasification reaction furnace 20 having a partial oxidation part 21 placed in a lower stage to partially oxidize the coal and a thermal decomposition part 22 placed in an upper stage so as to communicate with the partial oxidation part and thermally decomposing the coal; a first supply part 21c installed in the partial oxidation part to supply the coal and char into the partial oxidation part; and a second supply part 22c installed in the thermal decomposition part to supply the coal and the char into the thermal decomposition part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
