Determination of nitrogen by conversion to nitrogen monoxide - in analysis of aq. solns., org. extracts or solid substances
摘要

Nitrogen is determined in aq. soln. org. extracts or solid substances by adding an oxidising agent and heating the mixt. to convert the nitrogen cpds. into oxidic N contg. cpds. the latter are thermally converted into NO in an inert gas stream (pref. CO2) and NO is quantitatively determined in a conventional analyser. Separate tracts can be provided to individually determine different types of nitrogen cpds. such as nitrate-nitrile, NH3, and its cpds. cyanides and various org. N-contg. cpds. A universal method and appts. is provided for determination of nitrogen with high sensitivity and good accuracy.
