Process comprises passing polymer, as film or fabric which has been dyed by spraying printing or foularding, through a satd. fluorocarbon fluid (I) above its Tg, (I) having mole ratio F:Cl >=1 and solubility parameter 8.0. Fixing is more rapid than with hot air. (I) are not retained by fibres like previous liq. or vap. heating media, and hence a removal step is not necessary (I) may be liq. or vapour and e.g. CCl2FCClF2 or perfluorotributylamine. |
