PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device capable of stably conveying a sheet having high rigidity such as a cardboard or envelope in a structure where two sets of conveyance guide pairs are delivered; and to provide an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A sheet conveyance apparatus 65 is provided with first conveyance guide pairs 310 having a sheet S arranged so as to guide and face the sheet S and second conveyance guide pairs 320 which forms a curved conveyance path 80 with the first conveyance guide pairs and has the sheet guided by the first conveyance guide pairs arranged so as to guide and face the sheet. A first outside guide 311 in the first conveyance guide pairs has a bent extension portion 311a which is bent and extends so as to have a predetermined angle α against a second outside guide 321 positioned in the outside of a curve of the curved conveyance path of the second conveyance guide pairs. A downstream side in the sheet conveyance direction in the bent extension portion exceeds a position intersecting an extension line B linearly extending along the inner surface of a first inner guide 312 in the first conveyance guide pairs, and extends to the second outside guide side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
