A pipe feeder unit (19) with grab is located between the bending machine and a pipe magazine. The unit is fastened to a housing and moved like a pendulum. The upwardly directed pendulum has a drive as in 2832980. The pendulum (25) is formed as a tube, which is fastened at its lower end in a housing, so as to be turnable about its longitudinal axis. The tube extends within a second housing (21), at right angles to the horizontal pivot (23), and is fastened to that pivot. The pipe is surrounded by a bevel gear, which meshes with a vertical bevel gear, which in turn is fastened to the housing (21).
