PURPOSE:To measure accurately a momentary variation of hardness at pressing time of rubber etc., by converting the extent of the movement of a measuring element of a hardness meter into an electric signal and measuring the time variation of said electric signal. CONSTITUTION:An electric signal in accordance with the extent of the movement of a measuring element which press rubber, plastics etc. is generated by a hardness sensor 11. Said signal is inputted to a digitizing mechanism 12 and is converted into a digital signal of hardness. The highest value of hardness is displayed on a display part 4 for the highest value by its output through a detection circuit 13 for the highest value and also, the stable value of hardness e.g. after elapsed a second is displayed on a stable value display part 6 interlocking with a timer 14 set at a time set-up switch part 3. The value of difference between the highest value and stable value may be displayed on a difference value display part 15 or momentary hardness variation in a millisecond unit may be displayed by providing an intermediate value display part 5. In this manner, the instantaneous hardness variation is measured and displayed accurately and a gripping property e.g. in case of tire is measured. |
