The invention relates to an auxiliary device for producing pairs of stereoscopic photographs using a single camera. The auxiliary device consists of two parts: the plate having the two guide rails which run in a different manner, and the camera base guide shoe. The straight guide rail is used for producing stereo photographs when the object to be photographed is more than 2.5 metres away from the camera. The circular guide rail is used for every shorter distance. In consequence, the camera can pivot, fastened on the guide shoe, and always assume the correct inclination angle with respect to the object to be photographed. The camera base guide shoe carries out two functions: it holds the camera firmly on the respective guide rail by means of a stand screw which is fitted under the guide shoe, and guides the camera into the desired position. This combination of plate and guide shoe with a camera allows the production of stereo photographs from non-moving objects without using special stereo cameras or optical additional devices.
