A portable gas cooker comprises a collar (4) centred on the top of a gas cartridge (1) having a burner head (2) by legs 6, the legs being pivotally attached to the collar by rivets 5, a wind-guard basin-shaped screen (7) through which the burner head extends. The screen (7) is supported on the ends (6a) of the legs (6) with bearers for pans placed in the inside of the screen.
