PURPOSE:To inexpensively purify sewage by removing a precipitate in good efficiency, by such simple equipment that the bottom surface of a precipitation tank for storing injected sewage is formed as an inclined surface and a hydrophobic liquid agent is supplied downwardly from the part above the inclined surface to be flowed down along the inclined surface. CONSTITUTION:In a purifying treatment apparatus A wherein the bottom surface 4 of a precipitation tank 3 is formed as an inclined surface 5 and a sump box 6 is provided to the lower end part thereof, sewage W1 to be treated is introduced into the precipitation tank 3 from an injection port 1 and a precipitate S is precipitated and separated while supernatant water W2 is taken out from an overflow part 2 and a hydrophobic liquid agent R having specific gravity larger than that of the sewage W1 such as methane tribromide is supplied to the part above the bottom surface 5 and flowed down along the bottom surface 5. The above liquid agent R is flowed while placing the precipitate S on the layer thereof and flowed into the sump box 6. Herein, the precipitate S is discharged from an extraction pipe 12 while the liquid agent R is withdrawn from the suction pipe 8 provided to a bottom wall part 7 by a pump P and recirculated to the upper end part of the above mentioned inclined surface 5 from a liquid emitting port 9 through an injection pipe 10.
