Hydraulic system for a vehicle with battery-supplied electrical drive with hydraulic power steering device and a plurality of loads of hydraulic energy which take up energy streams of different sizes, and having two electric motor/pump assemblies of different sizes and having a priority valve, only the smaller electric motor/pump assembly 1/2 being switched on when only a small flow is required in order to save energy and its feed flow being directed via the priority valve 6 to the feedline 15 of the larger pump 12, the adjustment devices 23 and 24 of the two electric motors 13 and 1 and a releasable valve 22 and, if possible, a pressure accumulator 27 and pressure shut-off valve 30 being connected by a circuit.
