PURPOSE:To attain the quick execution of an interruption processing program by using a control means which sets a pair of general-purpose register sets which are used by a central processor for interruption processing. CONSTITUTION:A general-purpose register set RO is designated while a main program is executed. When an interruption an interruption request signal INT2 is produced, a CPU20 saves counters 20-1 and PSW20-2 to a data memory 17 and executes an interruption program. When an instruction is executed for reference to the general-purpose register during execution of the interruption processing program, the CPU20 selects a register EA2 as a register RA. Therefore, the result of addition of the contents of the memory 17 designated by an instruction as well as the register RA2 are written to the RA2. In other words, it is not required to save the general-purpose register to the memory 17 by a PUSH instruction in an interruption request mode. Thus the interruption processing can be executed immediately.
