PURPOSE:To reduce the entire structure by constructing a gear change unit integrally with change gear group and shift fork group in the transmission cover. CONSTITUTION:Plural sets of supporting rod pair 1-4 are juxtaposed to support the shift forks 5-8 advancable/retractable in shifting direction respectively on said rod 1-4. While shift rods 9, 10 are arranged advancably/retractably in same shifting direction with the shift forks 5-8 to be advanced/retracted through a shift cylinder 12. Furthermore, change levers 13, 18 rotatable in selecting direction approximately in perpendicular with the shifting direction are arranged for each pair of shift fork 5-8. The change levers 13, 18 are rotated through select cylinders 15, 20 in selecting direction to be engaged with the shift forks 5-8. With such arrangement, the entire size can be reduced.
