PURPOSE:To aim at simplifying the assembling steps of a diaphragm type ignition timing control device having two kinds of spark advance and retard characteristics in combination, by devising such that interior structure components may be assembled only at one side of a plate in a housing. CONSTITUTION:A collar 7 which is secured to a diaphragm 4 clamped between two casings 1, 3, is inserted through a sheet 5 made in press-contact with an annular plate 2 secured to the casing 1, and a second spring 8 is disposed between the seat 5 and the collar 7. In the ignition timing control device with the above-mentioned control device, the plate 2 is formed therein with a plurality of cutouts 23 while the seat 5 is formed therein with a plurality of abutting members 25 adapted to piece through the cutouts 23. After fitting both items 23, 25 together, the seat 5 is engaged with the plate 2 by relative movement therebetween. Further, a stopper 22 having a shoulder section which is formed by drawing the intermediate section thereof, is disposed between the ceiling section 2 of the casing 1 and the plate 2 to set the stroke S1 of the seat 5.
