PURPOSE:To obtain a small-type printer capable of smoothly cutting a paper to a predetermined length, by providing a stepped part so that an outlet part for a receipt paper is located on the lower side of an output part for a journal paper, and providing a scissors-type cutter mechanism for cutting the receipt paper at the stepped part. CONSTITUTION:A stepped part 13 is provided between an outlet part 11 for a receipt paper 2 and an outlet part 12 for a journal paper 3, and a cutter mechanism 14 can be contained in the stepped part 13. The cutter mechanism 14 is so constructed to cut the receipt paper 2 by an upper blade 15a and a lower blade 15b. A driving arm 18 is connected to a rear end part of the upper blade 15a through a spring 17, and the upper blade 15a is turned by the arm 18 to clip the receipt paper 2. The arm 18 is turnably supported on a frame 19 of a main body of a printer, and is driven by an eccentric cam 20 fitted to a rotary shaft 10a of a feeding roller 10.
