PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a film feeding motor by bringing the first piece of a film detecting switch, the second piece, and the third piece into contact with a metallic plate provided on a rear cover, perforations, and a film, respectively. CONSTITUTION:When a rear cover 4 is closed with the leader part of a film F let outside, a contact piece 21c and a contact piece 21a of a switch 21 are brought into contact with the film and a metallic plate 9, respectively, and the existence of the film is detected, and the film is wound into a cartridge P, and the number of times of contacting between a contact piece 21b and the metallic plate 9 through perforations 25 is counted to detect the extent of idle rewinding. The leader part fed out by rolls 8 and 6 is fed on a retaining plate 3 while being pressed by a sprocket 14 charged with a spring. Since the switch 21 is made with the contact piece and the metallic plate, the pretension of the contact piece is reduced and the friction between the film and the contact piece is reduced to reduce the load of a motor for idle rewinding.
