PURPOSE:To prevent dozes by projecting light beams from a light projecting optical fiber to eyeballs, receiving reflected light beams from eyelids when eyes are closed, and at the time of receiving the reflected light beams for a fixed time or more, generating an alarm. CONSTITUTION:A doze preventing device is constituted of the light projecting optical fiber 4 fitted to the surface of a lens 2 of spectacles or a lens frame 1 to project light beams to eyeballs, the light receiving optical fiber 5 fitted the surface of the lens 2 or the lens frame 1 to receive light beams projected from the fiber 4 and reflected by the eyelids when the eyes are closed and an alarm means 6 fitted to a frame part 3 of the spectacles to generate an alarm when the fiber 5 detects the light beams from the fiber 4 for the fixed period or more. Namely, light beams are projected from the fiber 4 to the eyeballs, and when the eyes are closed, the dispersed and reflected light beams from the eyelids are received by the fiber 5. Since the extremely thin optical fibers are used, the reflected light beams can be accurately detected without interrupting a visual field.
