MANUFACTURE OF RETAINER FOR ONEWAY CLUTCH

PURPOSE:To improve the yield of a material and to realize the labor saving in working by punching the bottom part with punching after forming a metal plate in a cup shape with its drawing. CONSTITUTION:In case of forming the inner side retainer 20 (or outside retainer 30) of a oneway clutch, the cup shaped part 20' consisting of a drawing face 21, flange part 22 and bottom face 23 is formed by drawing a metal plate. The bottom face 23 is then punched at a position B' by punching and an inner side retainer 20 is formed by punching a slug holding hole 24 on the drawing face 21. The material yield is thus improved at about 15% and the labor saving of the whole line in the working is enabled as well for the costdown.
