PURPOSE:To achieve the reduction in an intake resistance in the vicinity of an open/close valve, by connecting the first and the second intake passages for each cylinder, so that the first intake passage is arranged on the inner side in the direction of cylinder arrangement than the second intake passage in the part on the downstream side of the open/close valve, while it is arranged on the outer side in the part on the upstream side of the open/close valve. CONSTITUTION:To each cylinder, the first intake passage 3 for a low load and the second intake passage 4 for a high load are connected. The first and the first passages, and the second and the second passages are communicated each other via an open/close valve 10 respectively. The first passage 3 is so arranged that it is on the inner side in the direction of cylinder arrangement than the second passage 4 in the part on the downstream side of the open/close valve 10, and that it is on the outer side in the part on the upstream side of the open/close valve. Thus, the passages on the upstream side and the downstream side of the open/close valve can be continuously arranged without having a sharp bend, so that the intake resistance in the vicinity of the open/close valve can be reduced.
