<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical shutter device which enables long setting an optical path length on which the electric field acts and gets along with a low driving voltage even when a planar PLZT substrate is used. SOLUTION: In this optical shutter device, two sheets of substrates 11A, 11B which form driving electrodes 13, 14 on the surface thereof and comprise a material having an electrooptic effect (suitably, PLZT) are overlapped in such a manner that the driving electrodes 13, 14 are opposed to each other and the opposing driving electrodes 13, 13 and 14, 14 are connected with solder bumps 15. Otherwise, three sheets of substrates can be used and the solder bumps can be replaced by other electrically conductive material. Half-wave length voltage is reduced by driving the plural sheets of substrates in the state of overlapping the same.</p> |
