PURPOSE:To simplify mechanism along with a higher speed of operation, by providing an FIR type filter which performs a digital computation and a thinning-out processing of a time-series data. CONSTITUTION:An FIR (finite impulse filter) type filter 10 into which a time- series data is inputted to perform filter computation and a thinning-out processing, an FIR type filter 13 which receives an output of the filter 10 as input to perform a filter computation and a thinning-out processing while used on a multi-stage and an FIR filter 14 into which an output of either the filter 10 or 13 is inputted to produce an output by a filter computation and a thinning- out processing are provided and the filters 13 and 14 are shared with the replacement of an impulse response coefficient. This simplifies the construction and permits the use of a filter slow in the operation speed except for initial stage.
