PURPOSE:To obtain a programmable controller having a high processing speed by setting the executed addresses of a user program at a stack pointer so that the transition is possible to the user instruction processing procedure contained in a user program just with a single instruction. CONSTITUTION:An address generating means 130 produces the head address of a processing program for processing of the next instruction word with execution of a control instruction C after execution of the processing program received from an address produced by the means 130. Thus the control is shifted. Furthermore a pointer P is replaced as soon as data are latched by a latch circuit 140 and the executed address of a 1st memory means 100 is replaced. In such a constitution, the processing speed is improved for a programmable controller.
