PURPOSE:To prevent the cracking of a bright film formed on a molded article of polybutylene terephthalate by using a molded article contg. a specified amount of potassium titanate. CONSTITUTION:Potassium titanate fibers are added to polybutyrene terephthalate resin by 2-40wt% of the total amount. They are mixed and injection- molded into a flat platelike molded article or the like with a molding machine, and the molded article is degreased with a proper solvent, coated with a base coat such as urethane paint, and dried. A bright film of Al, a Cr alloy or the like is then formed on the surface of the molded article by sputtering, vacuum deposition or other method. The surface of the bright film is specular, and the film is not cracked by a temp. change. |
