PURPOSE:To sharply curtail material consumption by forming one holding part, which holds a terminal, apart at a formation part consisting of insulating material, and providing a conductive plated layer at the surface, and arranging an elastic pressing piece opposite to the plated layer so as to hold its opposite terminal. CONSTITUTION:The inner wall of a chamber 4 in opposition to one side of a terminal 3 inserted into a storage chamber 4 is made one holding part 5, and the holding part is formed separately at the time of formation of the connector main body 1. Metallic plating is applied to the surface of the holding part so as to form a conductive plated layer 6. An elastic pressing piece 7 is arranged opposite to the plated layer 6. To make the pressing piece 7 function as a contact formation element for taking out signals, a male terminal 8 is connected with the bottom end of the pressing piece 7. The terminal 8 is press- fit and fixed in a planted hole bored at the bottom wall of the storage chamber 4, and also it is projected downward from the connector main body so that it may be connected to a wiring board, etc. Hereby, minute pitch advancement and miniaturization can be done, and it can maintain reliability in contact even with simple structure.
