<p>PURPOSE:To optimize the regulating force for a tape, to securely run the tape stably and to prevent the damage of the tape edge by changing the regulating height of the tape by a tape guide in accordance with the winding diameter of a reel. CONSTITUTION:The regulating force at a variable guide post 107 is proportional to the regulating height when the tension of a tape is constant. In the case where the winding diameter of a tape roll 24 is small, a reflecting photosensor 31 detects that the rotating speed of a reel stage 22 is fast, and the impressing voltage to a laminated piezoelectric element 42 is decreased by a voltage variable controlling circuit 120. As a result of this, the element 42 shrinks, and a tape guide attached at the upper end of tone element 42 moves downward in accordance with the movement of the element 42. If the winding diameter of the roll 24 is large, the impressing voltage from the circuit 120 is increased because of the low rotating speed of the stage 22, thereby the element 42 expands. Consequently, the tape guide moves upward and the height of a flange 41 regulating a tape 1 is increased, and therefore the regulating force is increased and running of the tape is thus stabilized.</p> |
