PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in flame retardancy, mechanical strength, and releasability by mixing a specific polycarbonate/ polyorganosiloxane copolymer with polytetrafluoroethylene capable of forming a fibril. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. polycarbonate/polyorganosiloxane copolymer which has a main chain comprising a repeating unit represented by formula I (wherein R<1> and R<2> each is H or a 1-4C alkyl), a repeating unit represented by formula II (wherein R<3> and R<4> each is H or a 1-4C alkyl and X<1> to X<4> each is a halogen), and a structural unit represented by formula III (wherein R<5> to R<8> each is H, a 1-6C alkyl, or phenyl; R<9> and R<10> each is an organic residue containing an aliphatic or aromatic group; A is O, NH, or a single bond; and (k) is 1-5,000) and has a terminal polyhalogenophenoxy group represented by formula IV (wherein X<5> is a halogen and (m) is 1-5) is mixed with 0.01-2 pts.wt. polytetrafluoroethylene capable of forming a fibril to thereby obtain the objective composition excellent in flame retardancy, mechanical strength, and releasability. |
