<p>To manufacture buffer materials used for packaging, by continuously forming hollow bodies without forcibly injecting air into a synthetic resin tube. First, a synthetic resin tube (1) is sucked by vacuum sucker (3, 5), and a crosswise movable sealer (4) is brought close to the tube (1) with the tube (1) kept in the mentioned condition, to make an air introducing hole (81) in the tube (1) by means of a boring needle (43) provided on the crosswise movable sealer (4). The air is then naturally introduced into the tube (1) by moving the vacuum sucker (3, 5) away from each other with the tube (1) left sucked thereto. The air in the tube (1) is then sealed by thermally fusing the tube (1) to the crosswise movable sealer (4). A hollow body formed by the crosswise movable sealer (4) is then divided into two by thermally fusing an intermediate portion thereof by a longitudinally movable sealer (6), such hollow bodies being formed continuously as the inner pressure thereof is increased.</p> |
