FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: starting and control device has power supply unit, transistor inverter, series network composed of choke, blocking capacitor, first electrodes of lamp, resonance capacitor and second electrode of luminescent lamp placed between output of inverter and joint lead-out of power supply unit, protection circuit incorporating thyristor which controlling electrodes is connected to output of threshold device which input is connected to output of rectifier. Input of rectifier is linked to point of connection of resonance capacitor to underground lead-out of second electrode of luminescent lamp. Proposed technical approach does not have any special delay elements, high-voltage dividers and/or special current pickups but provides for disconnection of device if luminescent lamp has not ignited with normally heated electrodes (for instance, due to violation of gas composition in discharge tube) or if device is overloaded by output voltage or current. EFFECT: increased efficiency of protection of electronic starting and control device against anomalous modes of operation of luminescent lamp, simplified design of device. |
