<p>PURPOSE: To provide a methane fermentation treating method for organic waste of equipment having waste heat. CONSTITUTION: After organic waste generated from equipment having a waste heat source 20 is pulverized by a pulverizer 1 or the like, it is fermented and decomposed into carbondioxide and gaseous methane in a methane fermentation tank 2 while heated to 36-60 deg.C by waste heat from the waste heat source 20. The waste heat source 20 is, for example, a cooling system for a power generating device for private power generation, cogeneration or the like, a heating device for process equipment including heating treatment, an air conditioner generating waste heat, hot-water supply equipment generating waste hot water or the like. The organic waste to be treated is, for example, rotten or deteriorated food in a food warehouse equipment, garbage and domestic sewage of high concentration of a large-sized hotel or the like, waste food of a food processing plant, or the like. It is preferable that gaseous methane generated by methane fermentation is used for incineration of residue of methane fermentation treatment.</p> |
