<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll profile meter capable of measuring a roll profile more accurately than heretofore by utilizing a reference wire as a reference line for measurement of the roll profile without increasing the number of ultrasonic sensors. SOLUTION: A frame 2 in which a multiple ultrasonic sensor 3 is installed is filled with a medium which is ejected toward a roll from a nozzle 4. A reference wire 17 and a reflection plate 16 for correction of a sonic velocity are provided between the sensor 3 and the nozzle 4. Distances to the reference wire 17, the reflection plate 16 and a roll 1 are measured by one sensor. Protection plates 8, 9 for protecting the wire from influence of flow of the medium are provided and a circumferential hole 6 for reducing the flowing speed of the medium passing through a central hole 15 is provided to the reflection plate 16.</p> |
