PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket examination device and the automatic ticket examination method capable of realizing an efficient ticket examination processing by surely detecting the presence/absence of a boarding ticket medium without increasing a cost and surely separating the boarding ticket media sheet by sheet in the case that the plural sheets of the boarding ticket media are fed. SOLUTION: By adding a remaining ticket detection mode for judging whether or not a remaining ticket is present in a shift part 33a to the motor control process of a separation part 33 when the plural boarding ticket media are fetched to a fetching part 30, even in the case that sensors S1-S6 and 90 are arranged at the separation part 33 at an interval larger than the minimum dimension of the boarding ticket medium, the remaining ticket is more surely detected even for the boarding ticket medium provided with the minimum dimension and failures such as malfunctions and ticket clogging, etc., in passing judgement are prevented. |
