PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly and simply detect any buckling actually occurred on side impact against to an impact beam attached to a side door and to make the subject system operate. SOLUTION: In this system, a bracket 11 locking the front end part of an impact beam 19 is formed as a preceding buckling part to be precedently buckled on side impact. Then, each lead wire 18 deriving a stress exciting polarization current to be generated due to the buckling of the bracket 11 on side collision for the starting of a side air bag system 8 is connected to both upper and lower ends of the bracket 11 respectively. |
