PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deformation of a protective panel of a flat panel display device, more particularly an electromagnetic wave absorption filter of a PDP to a rugged shape by its thermal deformation, etc., and the generation of moires by the contact thereof with the image display surface of the PDP unit and further, to eliminate the need for separate conductive members exclusive of fixing members at the time of fixing the electromagnetic wave absorption filter and a front part casing. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave absorption filter 2 is fixed onto the outer flank 5S of a frame portion 5 forming an aperture 1a of the front surface of the front part casing 1 by a conductive double coated adhesive tape 8 having flexibility in a direction parallel with the adhesive surface. As a result, the deformation of the electromagnetic wave absorption filter 2 by its heat or moisture is absorbed by its own elastic deformation of the double coated adhesive tape 8. Even more, the double coated adhesive tape 8 itself has electrical conductivity and, therefore, there is separately no need for the conductive fixing members. |
