The stringed musical instrument has an arcuate frame (1) with a fret board (6) and a sound box (2) which is movable longitudinally on the rear part of the frame using a clamping saddle (3). The clamp is movable fixed to the sound box and has an adjustable fixing using a tensioned strap.
