<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-fuel ratio controller for an internal combustion engine capable of performing exhaust gas control by setting the optimum air-fuel ratio corresponding to a condition of an air exhaust system, preventing worsening of exhaust gas by supplying a proper fuel supply amount (fuel injection amount) suitable for a control system, eliminating a necessity that forces a driver to perform extra accelerator operation, and maintaining drivability in a satisfactory condition. SOLUTION: This air-fuel ratio controller for the internal combustion engine is provided with catalyst for purifying exhaust air in the air exhaust system, a catalyst temperature detection means for detecting a temperature of the catalyst, a comparison and judgement part for comparing and judging the catalyst temperature detected by the catalyst temperature detection means with a set activation judging value of the catalyst, and a control means for differing a target air-fuel ratio value after an air-fuel ratio sensor is activated in accordance with the judgement of the comparison and judgement part.</p> |
