PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to precisely approximate to original data by a small number of feature points by judging whether a generated free curve approximates to an original data string with a prescribed approximation degree so as to store the data to define the free curve at the time of judging approximation. SOLUTION: Motion damp data is read to extract (step 201) a key frame candidate point (feature point). Given start point, finish point, maximum point, minimum point and inflection point are arranged in the order of frame numbers (step 202). Key frames meeting a prescribed reducing condition are reduced and remaining key frames are left (step 203). The key frames are arranged (rearranged) in the order of frame numbers (step 204). Based on key frame data remaining at the time point, a free curve approximating to original motion frame data is generated (step 205). After obtaining the free curve, optimization is judged (step 206). |
