PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file made of a resin for which the number of components can be reduced as mush as possible without impairing reliability of holding a document. SOLUTION: The file comprises a file body 1, a binder 2 for binding a document, and a hinge unit 3 provided between the body 1 and the binder 2 for rotatably and separably holding the part or entirety of the binder 2 at the body 1. In this file, the hinge unit 3 has a holding base B provided at the body 1 side, a shaft member 51 movably held between the engaging position and a position to be engaged at the base B, an elastic member 7 held at the base B to energize an element to be engaged to the engaging position, and an engaging member 52 provided at the binder 2 side, engaged with the member 51 disposed at the engaging position to rotatably support the binder 2 around the member 51 so that the base B is molded integrally with the body 1, and the member 52 and the member 7 are assembled separately from the base B.
