The grass trimmer head (1), comprising a cylindrical body (3) with outlets (4a) for plastic cutting line (5) feed channels (4), has the outlets protected by a flange (7) on its base. The flange is of greater diameter than the cylindrical body, and can be in the shape of a disc with convex (7a, 7b) or conical surfaces. The flange acts as a sort of shield for the line feed channel outlets, preventing the line from being broken off at the outlets by the force of impact.
