<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quiet AC rotating electric machine while suppressing the complication of a control system and the degradation of reliability. <P>SOLUTION: A first inverter 4 feeds a fundamental wave three-phase current for generating torque corresponding to the rotational frequency of a motor to the first phase winding group 81 of the motor 8. A second inverter 5 feeds a higher harmonic wave three-phase current which has a frequency of seven or thirteen times of the fundamental wave three-phase current, to a second phase winding group 82 of the motor 8. The phase and the amplitude of the higher harmonic wave three-phase current are set so as to reduce the sixth radial vibrations of the motor 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
