<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint endoprosthesis which is stable for a long time, is resistant to attrition, and has a joint principle of high intensity. <P>SOLUTION: In the joint endoprosthesis having a joint section together with a metal core, the metal core rotates on another joint section in the case of execution of a joint function and /or is covered with glass-ceramic in an area to slide. In one case, the glass-ceramic has the following compositions (things of percent by weight). However, the compositions are SiO<SB>2</SB>45.0-50%, Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>15.0-20.0%, ZrO<SB>2</SB>8.0-12.0%, K<SB>2</SB>O 8.0%, Na<SB>2</SB>O 7.5%, CaO 2.5%, TiO<SB>2</SB>1.5%, and further, MnO<SB>2</SB>and /or Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and /or Co<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>of the remaining volume up to 12.5%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
