PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a work in a very short time without requiring a manual work. SOLUTION: The hanging type coating apparatus comprises an elevator part installed on a stand, a supporting pole hung downward from the elevator part through an aperture part in the vertical direction, a driving part which can be elevated along the supporting pole by the elevator part and is attached to the surrounding of the supporting pole in an un-rotatable manner, a sleeve joined to the driving part and rotatable around the supporting pole, and a supply part attached to the sleeve. The supply part may be attached to the sleeve through at least one rotary part and/or at least one expansive and contractive part. A grinding cleanser to be used for a blast work, a gas to be used for a cleaning work, and a coating material to be used for a coating work can be supplied from the supply part. The driving part may be connected to a wire extended from the elevator part. A key groove along the longitudinal direction of the supporting pole may be formed in the supporting pole.
