<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CATV system capable of quickly specifying the occurrence of an abnormal state and its spot, recognizing the type and contents of the abnormal state that occurs, surely securing a service by narrowing a line area where communication or speech communication becomes impossible by turning off a gate switch circuit when the abnormal state occurs and preventing a subscriber who has not paid viewing fees and a subscriber who violates a contract from receiving television and interrupting streamed noise. <P>SOLUTION: A controller and a transmitter are installed at the center side of this CATV system, a gate controller is installed at an individual subscriber side, the gate controller is provided with a receiver for receiving a signal from the center and a transmitter, the controller manages the address of the gate controller and a state of a gate switch, and the gate controller makes the gate controller of an address corresponding to an address receive gate control information when the center transmitter transmits the gate control information for designating the address and makes the the transmitter of a gate controller responding to the control information send a notification signal to the center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
