A two-piece moulding assembly for use as an above-cabinet finishing comprise s a base component providing an upwardly directed tongue formed at an obtuse angle, and a decorative component provided with a groove of complementary orientation whereby in an assembled interrelationship the decorative compone nt registers with and is supported by the base component.
