<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device equipped with a plurality of interfaces and capable of successively executing printing based on printing data from an external apparatus, that is particularly capable of appropriately responding to data transmission from another external apparatus during execution of successive printing, and preventing deterioration of image quality of the printing result. <P>SOLUTION: When data are transmitted from a second external apparatus 200 connected via a second communication interface 69 during successive printing of printing data from a first external apparatus 100 connected via a first communication interface 68, a tape printing device 1 sets the printing speed of the successive printing to normal speed (S2) when the printing data amount in a printing buffer 66A is a successive printing required amount M or more (S1: YES). When the printing data amount are less than the successive printing required amount M (S1: NO), the tape printing device 1 sets the printing speed to a low speed slower than the normal speed (S3).
