The stripping tool consists of an elongated sleeve axially movable in a housing, with a wrapping mandrel rotatably mounted in the sleeve, into which the wire is inserted. An insulated piece of wire is inserted into the sleeve (3) through a tool point at the front. It protrudes through the hole of a slot (10) in the sleeve (3), and is pressed to a stop by the flap (14). It is further inserted into the mandrel (2) recess by automatic closing of the flap (14). There the insulation is stripped by a device and the bare wire wrapped by the mandrel rotation. Insulation is blown out by compressed air.
