PURPOSE:To ensure favorable printing on a recording medium, by sequentially providing first, second and third ink layer on a base, while incorporating a coloring material into at least the second ink layer, and specifying heat-fusible materials used for the second and third ink layers. CONSTITUTION:A first ink layer 3, a second ink layer 4 and a third ink layer 5 each of which comprises a heat-fusible material are provided on a sheet shaped base 2 to produce a thermal transfer material 1. The first ink layer 3 is constituted of a layer in which the heat-fusible material constitutes a group of one kind of heat-fusible resin particulates or a layer of at least two kinds of domains. The second ink layer 4 is a layer in which the heat-fusible material constitutes a homogeneous system, or the like. The third ink layer 5 comprises as constituents two types of heatfusible resin particulates, namely, type C (white dots) and type D (black dots). |
