Multiple video signal recording system - time multiplexes half:pictures on to same tape as they arrive from cameras (OE 15.6.76)

The video recording system, for TV signals from several sources, passes the signals over a changeover switch to the input of the recording device (eg video tape recorder). The changeover switch is controlled by a sync. generator at a frequency equal to the half-picture frequency. The picture signals from each signal source (eg camera) are recorded solely as single half-pictures. These half-pictures are recorded in the time sequence in which they arrive from the different sources. The pictures are reproduced by passing them over a second synchronised switch coupled to eg tv monitors.
