<p>Blow moulding machine has a core rod support which moved core rods successively through a parison injection station, a blowing station, and a stripping station. A blow mould at the blowing station has a mould cavity in which the core rods carrying parison extend so that the parison can be blown, and a cooling chamber in the mould through which cooling fluid circulates. An air conditioner removes moisture from air which is then supplied to the exposed surfaces of the mould at the time of discharge of a blown article to prevent sweating of the surfaces. The system shortens the time that the core remains in the blow mould since the moulding becomes self supporting more quickly allowing cycle time to be reduced at the prodn. rate increased.</p> |
