The switching device connects the three computers (DVA1, DVA2, DVA3) to a device (VE) which further processes their information. The switching device is designed such that of the three computers (DVA1, DVA2, DVA3) in each case always two different ones are connected to transmission channels for the transmission of data and addresses. For the selection of in each case two of the three computers (DVA1, DVA2, DVA3), the switching device is designed in the manner of a multi-increment mechanical rotary switch which has a plurality of contact planes (S11 to S13) for receiving addresses and data channels of the three computers. Furthermore, two groups (S1, S2) of switching arms which are fixed in their position with respect to one another are provided, each group of which connects through the address and data channels of two different computers of the three computers (DVA1, DVA2, DVA3) at each increment of the rotary switch. <IMAGE>
