The abovementioned patent application is based on the object of providing seating and lying furniture, in which there are no rails of any kind, which is resistant to weather conditions and can also be used anywhere, i.e. for example in the house, on the terrace, in the garden, on the beach and likewise on water. The object is achieved in that the seating and lying furniture consists of a single-piece body which is divided by twofold bending into a back part, a thigh part and a lower leg part and is made of a self-buoyant, insulating material. The weight distribution over the individual parts of the body is dimensioned such that the seating and lying furniture according to the invention rests with the corresponding underside bend between the back part and the thigh part on the ground when there is no-one on it. The corresponding seating or lying position can be influenced by the person on the furniture according to the invention by shifting his/her weight.
